Pom-pom spiders

Pom-pom spiders

Hi there! Sorry for neglecting my blog for so long. I’ve not been crafting recently as was in major study hell for a long time. But I’ve finally finished my course and am now a fully-qualified Dispensing Optician – yay!
Anyway since Halloween is coming up I decided to make a few spiders to decorate the opticians practice where I work. I used pre-made pom-poms by Laura Donald just because I had them lying about and they already had strings on to tie them up. I just added some pipe cleaner legs and google eyes!

I think they’re pretty cute ^_^

Haha Bunny Eyepatch

Kawaii Patch

My eye has recently gone a bit icky – nothing serious, just a bit red & dry – and my optometrist friend suggested I could patch it if I wanted to give it a rest. So I put my crafty skills to good use & made a kawaii eyepatch!

I used Aranzi Aronzo‘s Haha Bunny to decorate it as she’s so cute & happy, she’s bound to cheer me up ^_^

Bunny Brooches

Finally my internet is fixed and I can reveal my new brooches – yay! Bunny from my ‘Bunny & Balloon” cards has been made into a cute brooch so you can take him wherever you go. Handsewn from felt with a brooch pin securely attached to the back and lightly stuffed, Bunny is available in a variety of colours for only £5. Get your bunny brooch here at Super Cute Kawaii.

Fishy

Fishy

This is my goldfish who sadly died at the weekend. I had him for 18 years which is pretty impressive for a goldfish & he will be sorely missed.

Footie Shark - Awesome at keepie-uppies!

Footie Shark - Awesome at keepie-uppies!

I haven’t been doing a lot of crafting lately as have been revising hard for exams but I have come up with a couple of new designs and Footie Shark is my absolute favourite!

Seeing this adorable design by Crowded Teeth gave me a horrid realisation that I have been sorely neglecting sharks. Burning with shame, I put my brain to work and came up with this fun design of a shark doing keepie-uppies.

Footie Shark Notebook

Footie Shark Notebook

This was my first attempt at sewing a felt design onto a bag and I found it fun but fiddly! I also noticed I’d drawn the bounce lines the wrong way on the notebook so changed that for my bag design. Hope you love him as much as me!

Felt Flower Cards

Felt Flower Cards

To celebrate the start of Spring I have brought out a new range of cards, featuring 5 different colours of felt hearts arranged in a flower shape and handsewn to the card. Perfect for Mother’s Day, birthdays and other special occasions, these cute white deckled edge cards also have a lilac insert for added fanciness.

Now available only at my Etsy shop!

Here’s a sneak preview of the new cards I am making which will soon be available in my Etsy shop, once my shipment of fancy deckle-edged card blanks arrives. I used felt hearts to make the flower and sewed them onto the card. It didn’t take as long as I thought it would and looks so cute!

I realise it’s a tad late to be posting about Christmas but I thought I’d mention some of the lovely handmade & kawaii presents I received. They really cheered me up and took my mind off the horrible cough I’ve had FOREVER!

These beautiful earrings were a gift from Marcy and were made especially for me by her friend Tracey who looked at my Etsy favourites and noticed I like stars and blue! They are perfect.

This adorable Argyle Whale notebook was also from Marcy. What could be cuter than a bunny in a scarf?!

And my last gift was this amazing jellyfish cut from acrylic to Marcy’s own design. I was expecting one of her kawaii bunny pendants but she had this made for me as a surprise!
